WHAT WILL YOUR MISSIONS BE?

Based at the Palalda site, as an R&D Eco-Design Engineer, you will be responsible for leading eco-design projects for the Sterimed group. You will be in charge of reducing the carbon footprint of existing products and developing new solutions in line with market needs and the company's strategic directions.

This specially created position is part of an ambitious growth approach and participation in a European-scale project call. The Innovative Health Initiative (IHI) is a public-private partnership (PPP) between the European Union and the European life sciences industries. The ENKORE project, initiated by the IHI, seeks to develop an eco-design framework for single-use medical devices and their packaging. Sterimed has been selected as one of the key players in the search for technical solutions throughout the product life cycle.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including geographic area managers, as well as marketing, purchasing, and production departments, to ensure an integrated approach aligned with the group's objectives. On a daily basis, your missions will be as follows:

  • Lead research and development projects related to the European project call
  • Report technical results at each development stage
  • Implement the R&D program strategy, structure laboratory studies, and lead trials
  • Ensure regular reporting and communication on project progress to all stakeholders
  • Search for suppliers and partners for outsourced developments
  • Ensure compliance with current regulations and standards
YOUR PROFILE
  • Scientific training: Bac+5
  • 3-5 years of experience in a complex industrial environment, Chemistry, materials science...
  • Interest in projects with entrepreneurial connotations
  • Initiative and good analytical skills to propose concrete and effective solutions
  • Interpersonal skills and strong communication ability at all levels within the company (from operators to management teams)
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English is essential
